Understanding your digital footprint – new opportunities!
Just like a tattoo, your digital reputation is an expression of yourself. It is formed and added to by you and others over time.
Educators can not ignore this, it is part of teaching and learning now. It is an everyday part of a students’ life – professionally and socially.
This may mean that teachers need to embark more on creating an online identity and actively engage in new and emerging media and in fact lead by example.

RHSU Edu-Scholar Public Influence Scoring Rubric
http://bit.ly/LwCFDE
The RHSU Edu-Scholar Public Influence Scoring Rubric
"RHSU Edu-Scholar Public Influence rankings, honoring and ranking the 200 university-based education scholars who had the biggest influence on the nation's (USA) education discourse in 2013.
Now, I want to run through the scoring rubric for those rankings. The Edu-Scholar rankings employ metrics that are publicly available, readily comparable, and replicable by third parties.
This obviously limits the nuance and sophistication of the measures but such is life."

For those interested in scoring additional scholars, it should be a straightforward task using the scoring rubric. Indeed, the exercise was designed so that anyone can generate a comparative rating for a given scholar in no more than 15-20 minutes.

Plan your digital afterlife : Google

Plan your digital afterlife with Inactive Account Manager
Not many of us like thinking about death — especially our own. But making plans for what happens after you’re gone is really important for the people you leave behind. So today, [April 2013] we’re launching a new feature that makes it easy to tell Google what you want done with your digital assets when you die or can no longer use your account.
The feature is called Inactive Account Manager — not a great name, we know — and you’ll find it on your Google Account settings page. You can tell us what to do with your Gmail messages and data from several other Google services if your account becomes inactive for any reason.

Reputation Management and Social Media
Pew Report
Reputation management has now become a defining feature of online life for many internet users, especially the young.
While some internet users are careful to project themselves online in a way that suits specific audiences, other internet users embrace an open approach to sharing information about themselves and do not take steps to restrict what they share.

Your Klout Influence Report
http://klout.com/
Your Klout Influence Report
Klout identifies influencers on topics across the social web
Klout is the standard for influence. We believe that every individual who creates content has influence.
Our goal is to accurately measure that influence and provide context around who a person influences and the specific topics they are most influential on.
Klout tracks the impact of your opinions, links and recommendations across your social graph. We collect data about the content you create, how people interact with that content and the size and composition of your network.
From there, we analyze the data to find indicators of influence and then provide you with innovative tools to interact with and interpret the data.
