Peace, Love & Pencils
http://mskristytk.blogspot.com/
What in the world is TK?! Terrific Kids?
Well, yes, but actually TK stands for Transitional Kindergarten. All of my students are 5 years old and they have all been through a 4 year old Pre-K program. With the NC law 3 years ago they would have be able to enter public kindergarten. However in 2009, NC made a change to the birthday cut off which left over 13,000 students having to wait another year to start Kindergarten. Schools had to adjust their curriculum or add a whole new class...welcome to Transitional Kindergarten!
