MFL Curriculum Maps
http://web001.greece.k12.ny.us/academics.cfm?subpage=1807
The maps on this page for French, German, Italian, and Spanish were created in 2000 and have been continually revised to align with the more recent (USA) curriculum documents such as the Timelines and Structure of the Target Language table.
Work has begun to reformat these maps to align with the interdisciplinary curriculum map template used for Smaller Learning Communities.
The American Sign Language maps have already been converted to this format.

The Languages Ladder (UK)
http://www.dfes.gov.uk/languages/DSP_languagesladder.cfm
Common European Framework.
One of the three overarching objectives of The (UK) National Languages Strategy is to introduce a voluntary recognition scheme ''to complement existing national qualification frameworks and the Common European Framework. This would give people credit for their language skills and form a ladder of recognition from beginner level to a standard which sits alongside GCSE, A Level and NVQs.
The Languages Ladder is made up of 6 stages: Breakthrough, Preliminary, Intermediate, Advanced, Proficiency and Mastery.
This scheme is designed to endorse competence in foreign language learning. It will allow learners to progress in one or more of the 4 skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) in one or more languages and also offers the opportunity for people to assess their own levels of language competence.

Foreign Languages Curriculum Frameworks
http://www.mcps.k12.md.us/curriculum/lang/curriculumframe/index.htm
Foreign Languages Curriculum Frameworks
MCPS has developed frameworks for all of the foreign languages, both modern and classical, that are taught in its middle and high schools. These frameworks identify for teachers, parents, administrators and students what students should know and be able to do by the end of each unit of study at each level of the language.
The student outcomes of the frameworks are the mandated curriculum of MCPS and form the basis on which countywide exams are created.
