K. International School Tokyo (jp)
http://www.kist.ed.jp/
We encourage our students to take charge of their own learning. Our inquiry-based approach involves students in formulating questions and designing investigations to find the answers to those questions.
After evaluating curricula from around the world, our teachers have chosen the Primary Years Program of the International Baccalaureate Organisation as the most appropriate curriculum framework for our school to meet these objectives.
The school is currently planning to apply for authorization to teach the IBO Primary Years Program.
Through our commitment to the inquiry based approach to education we have developed our Junior High School in line with the IBO's Middle Year Program which incorporates Grade 6 to Grade 10.

Although our academic programme has enabled our graduates to attend a number of the world? leading universities, YIS strives to create a happy balance between the academic and the non-academic, both of which, we feel, are equally important for an education to be complete.
