Assessment Criteria
Databases
The Candidate can:
- open a new database
- name and save the new database
- design database, use of files, records and fields
- insert data
- amend or delete data from records and files
- use search conditions to get required information
- use sort instructions for correct format
- change the look of the document by using different formats
- produce reports
- print out reports
- demonstrate knowledge of data collection/data capture
Distinction Level only:
- demonstrate understanding of relational databases
- demonstrate understanding of data analysis
- demonstrate understanding of distributed database systems
