ICAA FACILITATORS
- ANDY LEESE
- Andy Leese is a former primary school deputy headteacher with
twenty-two years of teaching experience in a variety of schools
in the 5-13 age range. He has taken an active interest in the
use of computers in the classroom since their introduction in
the 1970's. As well as co-ordinating the teaching of ICT within
his schools, he delivered in-service training to teachers within
his local education authority. He supervised the connection of
his last school (in Horsham, West Sussex) to the UK's National
Grid for Learning and was a participant in the BECTA (the lead
Government agency for ICT in education) Portables for Teachers
Project.
- In 2000 Andy became an independent educational consultant and
is currently working with ICAA as a trainer, delivering their
government funded ICT teacher training programme to over fifty
primary schools in the south of England. In February 2001 he was
invited to Perth, WA, to give a presentation to school principals
and members of the Education Department at the launch of the Australian
variant of the ICAA programme.
Andy lives in Pulborough, West Sussex, and finds solace in his
boat on the river at the bottom of the garden!

- GREG GOODRUM
- I have taught for 23 years in UK secondary schools having originally
trained in Geography and PE as my specialist subjects. I was Head
of a Geography Department in Essex for 3 years before deciding
to re-train in IT about 12 years ago.
(li>Having completed a 2 year course at the Anglia Polytechnic I
moved to a post as Head of IT at Kings' School in Winchester, where
I worked for 10 years, managing the change from Archimedes computers
to PC's and overseeing the development of the school network and
intranet. I decided to leave teaching in January 2000 to set up
my own IT training & consultancy business and have been working
with ICAA since February 2000
- I have a very broad background in ICT having built and repaired
PC's, designed and built networks, created web sites and intranets
and run training courses in a number of application areas. I have
also been involved in small business systems design and support.
- More recently I have joined an educational IT company specialising
in Interactive whiteboards and presentation technologies working
mainly in the product development and marketing areas.
